It's Official, Xavier is Potty Trained!
Last weekend, Xavier decided he didn't want to wear a diaper anymore. Saturday and Sunday we "practiced" wearing underwear around the house, and Monday we went to the store so he could pick out his very own underwear. He hasn't looked back. Monday and Tuesday there were quite a few accidents as Xavier learned what it feels like when "pee pee wants to sneak out". By Thursday, he was accident free and doing #2 in the potty! The last two mornings he's even woken up with a dry diaper. I am sure the success of his easy transition from diapers to underwear is partly due to being the second child and being motivated to be like his big brother, but also has a lot to do with his personality. Whatever the reason, I can't believe he's potty trained - I love it! And, if anyone needs to some size 5 Seventh Generations diapers, I have five unopened packs in the closet.

Self Portrait
Hunter's class worked very hard on self portraits in school. They mixed paint colors to create their skin color, they drew their portraits on transparency paper and then traced them onto canvas. It was a lot of work, and the finished products were incredible! They were on display for the last week of school for parents to enjoy. I plan to get Hunter's framed for our play room.

Hunter Surfing
We went to the beach this past weekend and Hunter tried surfing. You can't really see him, but Doyl is behind him on the surf board. Hunter has been begging to go surfing, and he had a blast his first time out on the board. Hunter is also into cars that have surf boards on them and he is already planning what kind of car he will have. (His car must be able to have a kayak and surf board fit on top.) Today, on the way home from school, Hunter told me he was going "to be plumber instead of surfer when he grows up because now he's already done surfing".
