One of the best gifts is now that Hunter and Xavier are 4 and 2, they actually play with each other. While I still need to do a lot of refereeing, there are times when they will play nicely together without any facilitating from mom. It is heaven. One activity they love to do is park all their cars together. Xavier will hand them to Hunter and Hunter will park them or pretend to be the mechanic and fixes them. The other day, they were playing in a box that their babysitter had converted into car. For at least 20 minutes they pretended to drive the car to Jamba Juice for smoothies, which is something they do with Doyl nearly every weekend. It was really cute. Here is a picture to document this monumental developmental step!

Hunter Turns 4!
Hunter turned 4 yesterday and even though we had the big party last weekend, we did much to celebrate his special day. The day started with Hunter ripping open presents, Christmas morning style, in under five minutes. He claims that "all of his gifts are his favorites", but if mommy had to pick, it was definitely his new fire truck and real digit camera from Fisher-Price. Aunt Hillary came by at the end of the day with a new Bruder excavator that was also a hit. Hunter celebrated his birthday at school too and wore a special crown his classmates decorated for him. They enjoyed muffins that mommy made with the class the day before, although the sugar-free cream cheese carrot frosting didn't go over well. Hunter also got to share his new camera with his class, and enjoyed taking pictures of everyone. After school, we went to CPK with a classmate and had a special mac & cheese lunch. Hunter event got an ice cream sundae for dessert. Hunter's birthday ended with strawberry ice cream cake, that mom decorated with Toy Story 3 characters, when daddy got home from work. While we have had wonderful time celebrating Xavier and Hunter's birthdays, mommy is happy that after three weeks of partying, things are wrapping up.

Freeze Dance
You have to listen carefully to hear it, but every time Melissa Green stops playing, Xavier cracks up.
It's hilarious!
