Waiting for baby sister...

12 more days until my due date, and I am getting impatient.  Xavier came at 38 weeks on the dot.  I tried to manage my expectations, and convince myself that baby sister would not also arrive two weeks early, but I was definitely disappointed when I didn't go into labor on Friday.  Hunter also came early - four days ahead of his due date.  I keep saying, "I've never made it to my due date and I don't plan on it this time", but it's starting to look more like a reality.  It really could happen anytime at this point, so I am trying to surrender to nature what I have no control over, and I keep hoping a praying that today will be the day.  In the meantime, here are some pictures of the pink nursery.

  

Hunter's Superhero Birthday Party

We celebrated Hunter's 5th birthday (a week early) with a superhero themed party yesterday.  All of his buddies from school joined us for the festivities.  Doyl lead the kids in a bunch of fun games including "Mr. Freeze Dance", "Kryptonite Toss", "Leaping Over Tall Buildings", and "Spider Web Target Practice."  Check out the album on Kodak Gallery for all the great pictures from our fun day!

Xavier Turns 3!

Xavier turned three years old yesterday! Sunday afternoon we surprised the boys with an overnight trip to Disneyland to celebrate.  Here are some pictures and the Kodak Gallery link for the full album.

Summer Days...

We've had a little summer weather in LA this week. Here is Xavier posing in front of the pool at Casa Del Mar (the hotel with Doyl and I had our wedding reception).  We have a pool membership there and try to enjoy it whenever we can.

Something to remember...

Hunter and I started reading Charlotte's Web this week.  I am impressed how interested he is in the story, given there are very few pictures.  Tonight, Xavier crawled into bed with us and put his head on my tummy and was sound asleep within a few minutes.  I am writing this so I remember what I sweet moment I had this evening, reading with my oldest while my baby slept with his head resting perfectly on my stomach. 

Hunter hits a milestone!

Hunter learned how to ride a two wheeler today!  It's especially memorable because today is also my birthday. Video to come!
